365 Days of Tea - Day 42: Stash's Maple Apple Cider. (Herbal tea)

Zing tea was suppose to be here yesterday, so I'm a bit worried that it was a lost in the mail, but I wont bother too much about it until the end of next week. I'm also expecting tea from else where but I haven't received any conformation that it's been sent. Sooooo we'll see!

I might have higher expectations then I should for this, because it sounds like it would be amazing. Its unsweetened so it might be the first tea that requires sugar to be yummy.

Its typical tea colored, nothing special here.

Hot tea! (Actually cold room.)

Its carries a very sweet maple scent, with a hint of apple. It smells like it would be very sweet, but considering its maple flavored; it probably doesn't contain actual maple. So that being said it probably isn't very sweet at all.

Surprisingly there isn't a lot of flavor here. The maple is very subtle, and you mostly just taste a very light appley flavor. It tastes less like tea and more like flavored hot-water. It has a lot to be desired flavor-wise. It was kind of a disappointment to be honest.

Even after I overbrewed it, hoping it would draw out more flavor, it really didn't. It wasn't bad, It's not nearly as bad as others. It just wasn't really all that amazing either.

365 Days of Tea - Day 41: Good Earth's Sweetly Twisted.

This is posted late because: blogspot. Also I didn't do an infusion Friday this time around because I am feeling very under the weather and didn't want to risk consuming something disgusting. So I did some Good Earth tea, since I already drink it, but haven't review it yet.

Its a black tea mixed with rosehips and other things to give an interested twist on flavor.

Its actually really green colored, which I thought was a little strange. I found out it contains lemon peel and lemon oil, so that's good. Might have an interesting flavor.

Steaming hot! Just how I like it. (Actually it wasn't really all that hot, it was only steaming because its cold in this room. AC is blasting.)

Its.. very lemony but with a hint of berry. I think my problem with this is though, it smells very medicine-y. Like night time cold medicine. That doesn't mean its going to reflect in flavor, but its rather disappointing in aroma. It also smells mildly sweet, with a very tiny tingling of rosehip.

It's one of those teas that has a lot of potential to be extremely tart, but it also contains some sweeteners, so it actually balances that out. Its really tangy, I think the blueberry and lemon flavor blend really well to create this. Its also kind of sweet, which I sorta wish it wasn't. I tend to like non-sweetened teas.

I think its a pretty decent tea, I could find myself drinking it on a day off of work when I want something sweet. It isn't as complex as something normally is when it contains black tea, as the black tea itself is rather lost.

365 Days of Tea - Day 40: Steeped Tea's Earl Grey De La Creme.

 This is my last tea from Steeped Tea, at least for now. They do carry a lot of great products so in the future, I would love to order from them. Also horray! 40 days since I started. :)

Earl Grey De La Creme. Its a black tea as you can tell.  Earl grey tea is a special kind of tea that is always a black tea with oil of bergamot as a flavoring. A bergamot is a type of citrus fruit, similar to an orange.

It looks quite pretty. You can clearly see the black tea leaves, and the wonderful cornflowers.

Its pretty dark.

It has a really deep scent. At first it carries a flowery scent, which comes from the corn flowers, but as that slowly fades away you collect a hint of citrus. Its nice, delicate yet complex. It isn't too prefumey either.

It doesn't taste as roasted as I would have expected. Though it does carry some interesting depth. Its not very flowery, but does carry a tiny hint of it. It actually tastes mildly creamy, though, it isn't thick. It also has a very delicate citrusy flavor, much like an orange and lemon mixture. I'm just glad that it isn't remotely as flower as that trash I had before.

This is finally something really good from Steeped Tea. It carried depth, and also quite delicate. It speaks with high class, but my one complaint is "natural flavors". I'd like to know whats in it. Keep in mind that I do review loose leaf teas at a higher standard then I review tea bags.

365 Days of Tea - Day 39: Tea At Sea's Mountain Organic Indonesian Black Tea.

Graze saw my review of there box and they're sending me another free box, so that's pretty great news, and very nice of them. I look forward to review more of there snacks. I do have some more tea coming in the mail as well. Lots of exciting things going on!

Sadly though, this is my last tea from Tea At Sea. Perhaps I'll get more samples in the future? I guess we'll see. My experience with there tea has been really great, and I have high hopes for that company as well.

This is a black tea, so as we can tell: the leaves are very dark. The dark coloration is probably from them being rolled, and roasted.

Its brewing away. I like how my tea brewer, which is made for a glass mug, pretty much fits into any other mug, too. I don't always like glass mugs.

Its a pretty dark green, but my horrible photography does it no justice.

Teat At Sea usually offers very interesting aromas and flavors, and this is no different. It smells like a roasted mountain-side with a slight hint of sea breeze. Its carries a lot of depth, and complexity as well. The roasted flavor comes off very nutty, with an earthy under tone, and sea breeze finish.

It comes off as very dark and roasted flavor at first, but it's followed by a bit of earthiness. It almost tastes mildly salted, but that is from where it was grown. Tea At Seas's teas itself, may not be ground breaking, but where they are grown makes a huge differences. You can taste the care and love in every cup and it makes you smile.

I generally think that I had a great experience with Tea At Sea and would really hope to sample their products again in the future. I would highly recommend that anyone who is into tea, or curious about tea try out any of there products.

365 Days of Tea - Day 38: Good Earth's Sweet Chai of Mine.

I know I've recently done a Good Earth tea but I've been drinking today's tea pretty often so I decided to review it. I've had quite a lot of this box so far, and I'll probably finish all of the tea bags. I promise to do more loose leaf soon!

Sweet Chai Of Mine is chai tea, which I know we'ved talked about a bit before. Chai tea is usually black tea mixed with herbs and spices. This tea nails that right on the head.

The bag of goodness.

Magical brewing vault. Turns hot water into magic water, then into tea. I drank that tea, sometimes all of it. I often find myself chewing on the mug, wishing for more.

Its hard to describe, but it smells like my nose popped off and walked into an Indian spice shop. The licorice root is a very dominating scent, but at the same time, its being layered with hints of cinnamon, glove, and ginger. There is even a very small trace of black pepper that tickles your nose. It smells great.

At first when you sip, it takes a moment, it lingers, waits. It tastes almost like nothing, but then, it happens. Suddenly your mouth is filled with a very deep, rich, mixture of roasted spices. The licorice rot makes it self known first, the clove, cardamon and nutmeg slowly come into focus. Its almost like a tea that changes flavors as you drink it. This isn't tea anymore, this is wizard magic.

Now, I can say that this tea isn't for everyone. This tea is for the office worker having a bad day, the late night gamer needing a break, the younger mother needing a piece of mind. There is a lot of depth here, which is extremely surprising for a tea bag. I like said though, not all tea bags are created equal.
